We’re discussing two comics this month again on Strange Tales. We discuss Doctor Strange 2018 Issue 7 “The Two Doctors Part 2” by Mark Waid, Javier Pina and Andres Guinaldo. We also discuss Infinity Warps : Soldier Supreme Part 2 of 2 by Gerry Duggan, Adam Kubert and Matthew Wilson featuring a merging of Doctor Stephen Strange and Steve Rogers. We discuss our Top 5 “incantations” about these two Doctor Strange issues. This is a spoiler filled discussion about each issue but you can listen to them separately as there is no crossover discussion between to two.
REVIEW 1 (8:10 – 40:29): Doctor Strange 2018 Issue 7 Review Podcast Spoiler filled Synopsis
This series is Written by Mark Waid there are many artists on the second part of The Two Doctors. With a visits to underwater kingdoms, outer space forges, a battle in Japan, an investigation in a distant realm and of course a mystical connection on the astral plain many great artists were needed for the team. On Pencil’s this time joining Javier Pina is Andres Guinaldo. Javier Pina is also inking on this book along with JP Mayer, Andy Owens, Roberto Poggi and Keith Champagne. The Color Artist on the book once again is Brian Reber who is joined by Jim Campbell and Andrew Crossley for our most highly rated issue of this series so far.
The story so far from Mark Waid’s introduction to Doctor Strange 2018 Issue 7 “The Two Doctors” Part Two:
Last Time…Using materials he crafted in his extra-dimensional forge, Doctor Strange rescued his friend, Kanna, from servitude as a mystical tech expert for an alien army and brought her to see earth for the first time. But there was an imposter in the sanctum–Strange’s former assistant, Casey Kinmont. Casey once gave up her soul to save Stephen’s life. Strange could think of little else while he was questing to restore her. Including a monster that threatened the realm. To concentrate and defeat it. Strange temporarily displaced his memory of Casey. But that memory was lost until she reappeared, posing as the sorcerer supreme.
Strange has gone after her again; Powerful in her own right and angry, Casey is dangerous. Meanwhile, Kanna and Bats searched for the demon that had acquired Casey’s body and found he had been brutally killed.
