In aftermath of the Harlem Paradise hostage situation the neighbourhood is thrown into confusion as the power players of Harlem come head-to-head. Willis Stryker (Erik LaRay Harvey) is “in the wind”, Shades Alvarez (Theo Rossi) is captured and Luke Cage (Mike Colter) is arrested, once again on the radar of the N.Y.P.D. As Detective Misty Knight (Simone Missick) begins to suspect more players, she assists Cage’s escape from police custody. Alvarez also escapes from the police through his Law-yer as Stryker pays bail to get him released. But the double-cross is with Stryker as he orders Zip and his thugs to kill Alvarez they fail sending Alvarez into the arms of another ally, Mariah Dillard (Alfre Woodard). They in turn realise that in such times the enemy of their enemy is their friend and attempt to Parley with Cage at Pop’s Barber shop. However, little does Dillard know that her situation has become increasingly precarious as Misty Knight meets with Candace (Deborah Ayorinde) from the club who is willing to testify against Dillard if Knight can give her protection. Cage, still on the run from the police, tries to locate Stryker to bring this feud to an end but discovers Domingo Colon’s (Jacob Vargas) own power play against Stryker has ended fatally for him and his gang. As Cage, Dillard and Shades converge to parley, Stryker attacks with a new weapon that allows him to match Cage’s power.
