Iron Fist Episode 4 Review Podcast “Eight Diagram Dragon Palm” Spoiler filled Synopsis

After being pushed from Harold’s Penthouse apartment Danny Rand (Finn Jones) wakes up on a couch and finds himself in the presence of Ward Meachum (Tom Pelphrey) and his dead father Harold Meachum (David Wenham). Whilst in shock, Danny and his father’s former business partner and friend connect with Harold embracing Danny like a long lost son. He welcomes Danny home asking “Are we good?” and the Meachum’s set about re-introducing Danny Rand back into New York society and Rand Enterprises. All the while Colleen Wing (Jessica Henwick) returns to the street fight club as The Daughter of the Dragon and she begins to dominate the arena earning more winnings. As Danny starts to make waves in the boardroom at Rand Enterprises Joy Meachum (Jessica Stroup) is tasked to “catch-up” with Danny but as they discuss the past the triads kidnap Joy because she closed the deal on the Pier they controlled. Danny saves Joy who is injured and tracks the Triads to the Golden Sands where he warns them off mere mention of The Hand. However, Harold’s dealings with The Hand continue and appear to have come to fruition. Madame Gao (Wai Ching Ho) takes Harold to an unknown location where her faithful servant receives his reward. On seeing his daughter for the first time in years he notices her injury and asks for one last favour as the Hand make a violent visit to the Golden Sands base. As Danny settles into his new life a ring at his apartment door gives new direction to his purpose as the Iron Fist.
